  • Afternoon Session - 1:25 p.m to 3:35 p.m

The pupils have a total of 6 hours 45 minutes in each school day. This is arranged as follows:-

The minimum total time spent on teaching each day is 5 hours (excluding break, registration, lunch and assembly times). The total time for which each pupil is taught per week is 25 hours.

Some pupils in years 9,10 and 11 undertake additional courses in Science and Technology and, as a result, attend lessons beyond the normal working day.

The Government's recommended minimum teaching time per week is 24 hours.
