Aims for the Year
  • emphasise careers content – ambitions and targets
  • health; citizenship; personal development
  • reflect the emotional development and maturity of pupils and acknowledge their need to relate information to personal experience
  • sex and relationship education

What we will do
  • encourage pupils to develop their own personal moral and ethical code of behaviour, using specific situations and relationships as a basis for discussion
  • provide opportunities to ask questions, get advice and be informed about implications of choices regarding health education and personal development
  • focus on self-esteem in personal development
  • encourage use of ICT
Assessment
  • peer assessment - marking each others work
  • self assessment - through written sheets after each unit of work
  • teachers review of work and response with comments and use of the school effort grades
