| What we
will do |
Term 1 Basic Skills-a range of simple recipes which
ensure every pupil is able to use all our equipment
and all achieve a basic skills level, following the
theme of Healthy Eating. Pupils will have the opportunity
to complete their bronze award for the Sainsbury’s
Taste of Success scheme. Pupils will have the opportunity
to complete their Silver Award for the Sainsbury’s
Taste of Success scheme.
Term 2 The Pizza Project – this allows pupils
to research and follow one food product through the
development and manufacturing process. We also look
at the various ways it is sold to the public.
Term 3 Textiles – basic skills are learnt
and developed to enable pupils to handle fabrics
by hand and form a structure using soft materials.

| Assessment |
- practical work is marked out
of 20 for skill, method and cleaning up
- a mark sheet will be given at
the start of the work which clearly sets out the work
to be done and the marks that can be achieved
- written examination on Food
and Textiles
