Dear Parents
I am delighted to inform you that, following
a rigorous selection process, Mr Simon London has been appointed
as Head Teacher of Hall Mead School from January 2008.
Mr London is currently Deputy Head Teacher
of Saint Martin’s School, Brentwood.
I am confident that Mr London is an excellent
choice and will further enhance the reputation and performance
of Hall Mead. Most important of all, the Governing Body wanted
a Head Teacher who showed an understanding of the way Hall Mead
works and why it is successful. We were looking for a commitment
to maintaining the ethos and family atmosphere; Mr London demonstrated
this understanding and commitment very strongly.
We look forward with great confidence to Mr
London joining Hall Mead.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank
the Senior Management Team for their wonderful support, help
and advice to me and also thank the whole school team for another
successful year with yet further successful exam results.
Also for your information Mr Sam Berwitz,
our previous Head Master, is enjoying his retirement and I can
report that he is in good health.
Yours sincerely
John McKernan
Chair of Governors
