| West Ham lose
to League One side Chesterfield |
| to make it just one goal and
eight defeats in the last eight games. The most worrying thing for
Hammers fans must be that Chesterfield fully deserved their victory
outplaying Alan Pardew’s premiership outfit in all areas of
the pitch. If Pardew doesn’t start to put things right very

| Essex miss out
on promotion |

A final day defeat for Essex against Leicestershire
sees the county side resigned to another season in Division Two.

centuries as the two teams manufactured a result. The game would
surely have ended in a draw if it was played out honestly, but
cricket doesn’t seem to work that way any more. |
