France Assignment

You work for a company which produces tourist leaflets.
The French Government is interested in having your company produce the leaflets for a number of French cities.

This is a deal which would make your company a lot of money and could result in you getting a large bonus. As a trial run you have been asked to produce a leaflet on a city of your choice from the following list:

Calais, La Havre, Bordeaux, Toulouse,

Avignon, Cannes, Marseille, Lyon,

Lille, Annecy.

Remember …………..there is a lot of money to be made from these leaflets so it has to be good.

Your boss thinks that a good leaflet should include the following, so use this as your checklist.

A good map which shows where the city is located in France.
A bit of information about the history of the city and what it is well known for.
Details about the local transport, how can tourists get to the city and around the city?
A list of at least 3 places to visit. Describe these places and explain why tourists should visit them.
Good use of appropriate language

	Use the internet to help you with your research. It may be helpful to look at some holiday brochures aswell.
	Think about your use of language. Make sure you use words that would be used in a real leaflet. It may be useful to pick up some leaflets (for example at a tube station) to get some ideas.
	Leaflets are always colourful and eye-catching. Make sure you use colour and pictures.
	You can use Microsoft Publisher to give your leaflet a professional look.

Remember you have to impress the boss or no bonus!!
