| All
pupils of Hall Mead are expected to behave sensibly and courteously
at all times. In Particular, they will show respect for each other
and for all adults with whom they come into contact, both in School
and when going to and from school.
The
rules which follow are intended to help foster a corporate spirit
and to ensure that our School is a safe, orderly and pleasant
place in which to work. These rules should be read in conjunction
with the code of conduct printed in the pupil diary and the home
school agreement.
1. School Uniform
Details of the Schools Uniform regulations are provided Separately.
These must be adhered to when a pupil is in school, representing
the school and traveling between School and home. If, for any
reason a pupil is unable to wear full school uniform a parents
note of explanation is required.
2. Attendance and Punctuality
It is expected that cases of absence and
lateness will be rare and that these will occur only when unavoidable.
a All absences must be covered by a parents
note of explanation; telephone calls are acceptable but we ask
that they be followed by a note and kept to a minimum in order
to reduce pressure on administration staff.
b. A pupil is deemed to be late if he/she
is not in his/her tutor group room by 8.50 a.m. and 1.25pm.
c. Any pupils arriving late must sign in
at the School Office and collect a slip to take their first lesson.
d. No pupil is allowed to leave the school
during the day unless he/she has been given permission by a senior
member of staff. Having obtained permission, he/she must sign
out before leaving.
3. Morning and Lunch Breaks
Details of arrangements on site are provided
separately.
a. No pupil is allowed to leave the premises
during morning break.
b. The only pupils allowed off site during
the lunch break are those going home to lunch and those in Years
10 & 11 whose parents have given them permission to leave
the premises. In both cases a parents letter is required.
c. The School reserves the right to withdraw
permission to leave if a pupil, through his or her behaviour,
shows himself to be unworthy of the privilege.
4. Sickness
A pupil who feels unwell should seek permission from a member
of the teaching staff to report to the School Office. |
